Village Lights opened as a brick-and-mortar shop in November of 2008, a "mom & pop" business, locally owned and independent, with the proprietors, Nathan Montoya and Anne Vestuto, living above the shop. For fifteen years, as a full-service general bookstore, we offered a carefully curated selection of quality used and new books. In January of 2024, Village Lights transitioned to a rare and antiquarian book shop located on the second floor of our building, open by appointment only. We now offer a modest, but growing, eclectic selection of rare, antiquarian, and out-of-print books, with strength in modern firsts and signed copies. We also sell handmade letterpress books and broadsides from Larkspur Press.
