Orinda Books

Orinda Books is an independently-owned bookstore just 30 minutes west of San Francisco. We are open Monday - Saturday. Free parking and easy access to the Orinda BART station and the County Connection bus service make visiting the store convenient.

We provide a diverse range of books and have a large inventory covering travel, fiction, history, biography, current affairs, poetry, nature, and science. Our children's department is extensive and inviting. Besides books, we carry puzzles, toys, cards, and calendars, as well as locally-made chocolate, olive oil, ceramics, and artwork. We support authors and artists and provide a great space for exhibitions and events.
