Summary

Upon hearing the words sex and magick, your mind will start conjuring different images. You might think of passionate lovemaking when you hear the word sex. It probably brings to mind spells, talismans, and rituals when you hear the word magick. Both these things are extremely special and intimate by themselves. When put together, the result is incredible and magical indeed.

The origin of sex magick is difficult to pinpoint, and nobody knows how, when, or even where it came from. Some believe it dates back to the time of Adam and his first wife, Lilith. As per Hebrew mythology, Lilith was said to have an independent streak and often loved to be on top during intercourse. Some believe sex magick is derived from the fertility rites prevalent in pre-Christian Europe and other sex-based celebrations such as Beltane. Some also believe this is derived from Tantra, a practice based on the mystical path of obtaining ecstasy through rituals that glorify sex. This practice originated in India around 6000 years ago. There were also several practices carried on in ancient Egypt, Babylon, Greek, Rome, Persia, and even China involving intimate rituals and activities for the sake of prosperity. Even though its origin is murky at best, sex magick is real.ย
