Summary

George Orwell es uno de los principales autores del siglo XX. Además de sus famosas obras de ficción, escribió innumerables ensayos de carácter político, filosófico e incluso ambiental. En esta edición hemos seleccionado cinco ensayos que corresponden de alguna manera a una evolución existencial en el autor, mostrando sus sueños de realizarse como hombre, desde niño, en la literatura y también en la búsqueda de la verdad. He also visits a hospital, where death is an ever-present companion. In the end, he rediscovers the infinite power of nature in the figure of the humblest of creatures—a toad.
