“Well, I might be late to the game, but I just read Contagion by Teri Terry and I couldn’t put it down! First, I was amazed at the pandemic world that Terry imagined. The book came out July 2019, which means it was written previous to Covid, and yet so many of the details feel familiar, like having to wear masks, mass quarantines, and closed schools. The virus is (mostly) deadly. The teenagers, Shay (a survivor), Callie (who died from the virus, but can communicate with survivors), and Callie’s brother, Kai, must hide from the authorities and find the epicenter of the infection to help stop it from killing everyone. The narrators of the audiobook give it just the right urgency. It’s a Y/A book meant for anyone who likes a page-turner, and is the first book of a trilogy. I’m sure readers are waiting for the next one already!”
