“Five fresh baked Christmas cookie stars! This is the sapphic holiday rom-com we deserve - it has everything: mistletoe kisses, freshly fallen snow, pining, fabulous family dynamics and more. Cochrun imbues some endearingly messy depth into the warm fuzzy framework of a Hallmark holiday movie. ”

“Love can be a messy affair, especially when you agree to fake marry an attractive man for money and have to spend the holidays with his family, not knowing that his sister is your ex and the sister's best friend was your fiance's ex. Oh boy! Love is in the air, holiday traditions are everywhere, and everyone is a bit of a mess. This is a fun holiday romance with a love trapezoid, magical snow days, a welcoming family, and an arrangement gone wrong. I loved every one of the Kim-Prescotts! This was a fun audiobook to listen to from Libro.fm!”

“I'm inclined to say that this is one of the greatest holiday rom-coms I have ever read. Inspired by the beloved film While You Were Sleeping, Kiss Her Once For Me is a sapphic love story following a down-on-her-luck artist who fakes an engagement with a hotshot landlord, only to discover that his sister was the woman that stole her heart last Christmas. There is an emotional depth to the entire cast of characters though the highlight of the story (aside from the fantastic and all-around queer representation) is the development of our leading lady Ellie. By the time I reached the final chapter I was in awe of the growth she went through compared to how she was first introduced in chapter one. Needless to say, Ellie deserved her happily ever after. I will most definitely be rereading this for future holidays.”

The author of the “swoon-worthy debut” (Harper’s Bazaar) The Charm Offensive returns with a festive romantic comedy about a woman who fakes an engagement with her landlord…only to fall for his sister.
One year ago, recent Portland transplant Ellie Oliver had her dream job in animation and a Christmas Eve meet-cute with a woman at a bookstore that led her to fall in love over the course of a single night. But after a betrayal the next morning and the loss of her job soon after, she finds herself adrift, alone, and desperate for money.
Finding work at a local coffee shop, she’s just getting through the days—until Andrew, the shop’s landlord, proposes a shocking, drunken plan: a marriage of convenience that will give him his recent inheritance and alleviate Ellie’s financial woes and isolation. They make a plan to spend the holidays together at his family cabin to keep up the ruse. But when Andrew introduces his new fiancée to his sister, Ellie is shocked to discover it’s Jack—the mysterious woman she fell for over the course of one magical Christmas Eve the year before. Now, Ellie must choose between the safety of a fake relationship and the risk of something real.
Perfect for fans of Written in the Stars and One Day in December, Kiss Her Once for Me is the queer holiday rom-com that you’ll want to cozy up with next to the fire.
