As a stage actor, he has worked seasons at the National, the Chichester Festival theaters, and the West End. He has also been in several Hollywood films - including Mission Impossible, Sahara, and Florence Foster Jenkins - and in the television series The Honorable Woman and Under Cover. An experienced jazz musician, he has an acting studio in the West End.
