The following year, the company's five-hour stage version of his dramatization of Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay won Theatre Puget Sound's prestigious Gregory Award for Outstanding Production of 2014.

Richard Ford is the author of The Sportswriter; Independence Day, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award; The Lay of the Land; and the New York Times bestseller Canada. She was a founding board member of 826 Valencia, the San Francisco writing center for youth, and lives in the Bay Area with her family.
