Summary

Katey Frost, a female amateur sleuth ends up supporting the Police Chief in this exciting book. They not only solve the case, but a clean and wholesome romance begins to develop between them.

Katey loves living in the small town of Pine Falls, and just as she thought that she could finally settle into her retirement and run her little coffee shop, she has been called back to Detroit.

A former colleague whom Katey saved from a student who once tried to murder her, resurfaces seeking revenge. Despite his supposed death in prison, a recent death of a girl has a note found on her body addressed to Katey.

The note indicates that more people will get hurt unless he gets his revenge on Katey for what she had done.

The murderer is not only vicious but cunning as well. This is not going to be easy. The clock is ticking.
