Summary

The sky too was wide and a pure, unblemished blue, and from the front seat of your car, the mix of sky and the glossy sheen of the windshield made the whole scene look like a thin, fine plastic you could wrap yourself in. Even though you were a block away from parents’ house, there was something otherworldly about being there. Every now and then, you had to remind yourself to breathe. Looking, you couldn’t understand how all this everyday banality led to such horror and failure. How could you have begun to possibly understand the meaning of the conclusion when you didn’t even understand her on a basic level?
