Summary

No sooner had he hung up on her than he began burning up the airways searching for ways to quell the shitstorm headed their way. He talked with law enforcement officials, politicians, and even underworld figures and in the end, he came away with a blank. Whatever the cops were doing they were keeping it close to the vest and weren’t putting anything into computers, or on paper.
Then he went to the other side of the coin and called two underworld figures he knew back when she was alive, and he told them the cops had a canary on ice and for them to beware of whatever sort of tune that bird was singing.
