Summary

Unit VL-15 was so close to freedom and answers. Until the world ended in catastrophic war.

Decades of silence passed. The country had become a brutal landscape. But over time, thin roots of civilization began to peek through the wreckage. Humanity was not ready to be extinct after all.

Dr. Amelia Wong, the leader of the Hub, is determined to rebuild the world. And lost technological relics, no matter how big or small, would be the building blocks for their future. But was she doing enough to keep them safe?

Craig Anderson leads his team, "The Exhumers," in extracting those lost relics in the savage Wastes. His already dangerous job becomes a matter of life and death once his team discovers a unique and dangerous specimen hidden in the rubble. VL-15 has awakened once more.

Its head is full of shaky memories of the Old Era. Strange human memories. Where did they come from? Whose are they? It is determined to find out.

Two hundred miles of wasteland, filled with vicious Errant machines, vengeful Artificers, and primal humans, lay between them and The Machine City. Terranyne.
