Summary

After the catastrophic events of Sunfall, the people of the world no longer trust the use of amulets, viewing them as weapons of evil – When it comes out that Maple Valley’s newly minted “organic superhero” uses these magical artifacts, will they turn their back on her, or will her influence change the masses.

The Lotus Temple is a beacon of good in the dark despair that hangs over the land. Its app gives true democracy to the hands of the people. At least, that’s what their PR team pushes. Victoria Grey is only their newest angle, a rebranding of their Chosen Program, created to collect amulets and save the world. 

Victoria works hard to fit the mold given to her – Strong, logical, and obedient. But as the amulets work their power over her, she falls deeper and deeper into their temptation. Caught up in the opinions of others and what it takes to be a hero, her steadfast resolve begins to crack, throwing doubt into the minds of those she is sworn to protect. 

With the Temple on her back and her followers turned against her, will Victoria be able to ground her emotions and stick to the goal, or will her own choices be her undoing?
