Giosuè Alessandro Giuseppe Carducci (Valdicastello, 27 luglio 1835 – Bologna, 16 febbraio 1907) è stato un poeta, scrittore e critico letterario italiano.
Carducci è stato il primo italiano a vincere il Premio Nobel per la letteratura. Insieme a Camillo Golgi, è stato il primo italiano in assoluto a vincere tale premio nel 1906.
