Clare made it to the city in the sky, and she's not impressed.

The tech is impressive, but it's being woefully underutilized. For a tech wiz like her, it's almost painful to witness.

They're having trouble keeping Summerland in the sky, but that's why Anselm dragged Clare up there in the first place. Being the mechanical magician she is, it doesn't take Clare to figure out the obvious.

Summerland is broken.

Worse than waste and neglect, the city in the sky shows signs of being sabotaged. Clare has a feeling that means things are going to get more interesting.

Who would want a city full of technological marvels to plummet from the sky? Especially given that said city is populated by a bunch of speciesist snobs? Oh, right. Pretty much everyone on the ground . . .

Clare and Anselm race against time to narrow the list of suspects and find a solution to the mechanical issues ASAP. Otherwise, all their efforts to keep the city in the clouds in the clouds are going to amount to nothing.

Michael Anderle is the internationally bestselling author of more than forty urban fantasy and science fiction novels, including the Kutherian Gambit, Opus X, Federal Histories, and Exceptional S. Beaufont series. He is also coauthor of many more under his company, LMBPN Publishing, which has sold over 3 million books.

Rachel Leblang has been using audiobooks to liven up her frequent car rides for over eight years now, and annoying her family with silly voices for twenty-seven. While earning a bachelor's degree in Japanese language studies, she was asked to lend her voice to a classmate's video game and a passion for voice acting was born! She made the natural leap into audiobooks, and has produced 114 books to date. When Rachel isn't locked in her recording booth, she enjoys working on her inordinate amount of puzzles, video gaming, and re-creating historical dress by hand-slowly.
