George Samuel Clason (November 7, 1874 - April 7, 1957 ), also known as George S. Clason, was born in Louisiana, Missouri, and died in Napa, California. During his eighty two years he was a soldier, businessman and writer. He served in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. Clason started two companies, the Clason Map Company of Denver Colorado and the Clason Publishing Company. The Clason Map Company was the first to publish a road atlas of the United States and Canada, and did not survive the Great Depression. George Clason is best known for writing a series of informational pamphlets about being thrifty and how to achieve financial success. He started writing the pamphlets in 1926, using parables that were set in ancient Babylon. Banks and insurance companies began to distribute the parables, and the most famous ones were compiled into the book The Richest Man in Babylon.

Joseph Murphy wrote, taught, counseled, and lectured to thousands of people all over the world, as Minister-Director of the Church of Divine Science in Los Angeles. His lectures and sermons were attended by thousands of people every Sunday. Millions of people tuned in his daily radio program and have read the over 30 books that he has written.

Neville Goddard (1905-1972) was a profoundly influential teacher, and author, writing more than ten books under the pen name Neville. He was a popular speaker on metaphysical themes and is associated with the New Thought philosophy.

Catherine Ponder is considered one of America s foremost inspirational authors. She is a an American minister and founder of Unity Church Worldwide, affiliated with the Unity Church.

Genevieve Behrend was a French-born author and teacher of Mental Science, a New Thought discipline created by Thomas Troward. After her studies with Troward, she founded a New Thought school called The School of the Builders in approximately 1915 in New York City, running it herself until 1925.[1][4][6] She then founded another New Thought school in Los Angeles, after which she traveled throughout North America lecturing on mental science and New Thought for 35 years, as well as giving radio broadcasts.
