Rüdiger Paulsen was born in 1950. He studied social pedagogy and worked as a kindergarten teacher. In 1986 he founded the children's and puppet theater Flügeli Rosinchen, in 1991 the Puppenburger Turmtheater. Since 1997 he has been a teacher of balloon art, and since 2005 the Theaterbüro Paulsen exists. During his career he has always written plays and picture books for children and adults.
