Learn moreLife is tough and full of hard times and heartache, but it’s also beautiful and plush and vibrant. Walk Through a Field of Flowers is a collection of poems gathered over a lifetime starting as a young child. Some are autobiographical, others are written as an observer of life and other people’s struggles or situations. The Author has added her own thoughts about each poem and explained the meaning and origin; sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and occasionally with a little humility. Throughout the book, the Author often compares the perspective of an innocent young girl versus the somewhat jaded, sometimes cynical perspective of an adult.
Kristin first began rhyming words together at a very young age, and soon these words expanded into poems and stories that enchanted family and friends. Creative Writing and English were her favorite classes. Once aspiring to hold a career writing greeting cards, life took Kristin on a different path into the business world, where she currently works for a communications company. Always an eager student, Kristin worked full time while earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree, and later went on to earn her Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix. It was during this time when her passion for writing took a back seat. Recently Kristin has explored her love of the fitness world by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Pilates Instructor where she teaches several classes per week. Kristin is a huge animal lover and has volunteered for rescue organizations, many times bringing her “work” home with her in the form of a new furry friend. Kristin’s favorite hobby is reading and she sometimes has three or four books going at one time. This is her first book.
