XuDong Tan, male, was born into a family of middle school teachers in Anren County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. He studied fine arts and holds a bachelor's degree in English from Huai Bei Normal University. He has worked as a college English lecturer and has been writing new poetry for many years. He obtained his Ph.D. in Children's Literature from the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University. He is a member of the China Writers Association and one of the most active emerging critics and young scholars in the field of children's literature. He has served as the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Beijing Normal University, taught at the Chinese Department of Shanghai University, and worked at the postdoctoral mobile station of the School of Arts at the Communication University of China.
