Meg Ellis has just completed the school year as a nurse in the Santa Fe school system. It isn’t her first choice of profession, but a medical problem derailed her musical career years ago. The breakup of a bad relationship is still painful. The loving support from her close-knit family and good friends has buoyed her spirits, but longing still lurks below the surface. She can’t forget the intoxicating allure of the beautiful diva who haunts her dreams. 

Nicole Bernard is a rising star in the world of opera, adored by fans around the globe. When Meg learns that Nicole is headlining a new production at the renowned New Mexico outdoor pavilion—and then is asked to accept a job offer to be her personal assistant—she is beside herself. After a short time learning the routine and reining in her hormones, Meg discovers that Nicole’s family will be visiting for the opening. Her responsibility to the charismatic singer immediately becomes more difficult when Nicole’s young husband Mario shows up and threatens the comfortable rapport between Meg and the prima donna. 

The two women brace for a roller-coaster interlude composed by fate. Will the warm days and cool nights, the breathtaking scenery, and the romance of the music create summer love? A heartbreaking game? Or something very special?
