Michael Trant is a WA country boy now residing in Perth after a variety of careers ranging from farmer, marine draftsman, pastoralist and FIFO pot washer.

Michael writes with an authentic rural voice, drawing on his experiences to open readers to places and lifestyles foreign to many. He has a passion for farming, writing, and gaming, the order of which vary throughout the year. He still works on farms as a tractor driver, mainly to annoy those teachers who claimed no one would pay him to stare out a window all day.

He is also the author of Ridgeview Station and Wild Dogs.

Ric Herbert (Reader)
For 30 years, Ric Herbert has been a premium voice actor and session singer on the Australian airwaves. As an actor he has appeared in King Kong (2005), Babe: Pig in the City (1998), Underbelly, Home & Away, Police Rescue, The Young Doctors, The Sullivans and Prisoner. He has also performed onstage in several musicals, including The Full Monty, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

As a singer/songwriter Ric Herbert's music career is
extensive, from original bands to cover and corporate bands. Currently fronting the Get RicH Band, he is also the singer for iconic Australian band Matt Finish. Ric sang Share the Spirit live at the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
