Comedy writer, Mike McColl Jones, has lots of funny friends.

Graham Kennedy, Bert Newton, Don Lane, Tommy Hanlon Jnr, Stuart Wagstaff, Steve Vizard, Frankie J. Holden... Mike has written for them all. In a career spanning decades, Mike has been an insider at television's funniest moments - on and off the screen.

In My Funny Friends, Mike shares 'insiders' stories about the who's who of Australian television.

Mike McColl Jones started writing for his funny friends several years after TV commenced in Australia. He was personal writer to Graham Kennedy for In Melbourne Tonight and The Graham Kennedy Show; Head Writer for The Ernie Sigley Show, The Don Lane Show, Tonight Live with Steve Vizard, Stuart Wagstaff's IMT; and was creative consultant for In Melbourne Tonight with Frankie J. Holden in the mid-1990s. He has written over 200 specials for the Nine Network, which include 22 Logies and two Royal Command Performances, all hosted by Bert Newton. In all, he has done nearly 6000 shows, most of which were live to air.
