'Crocodile' Charlie Kingmore is a man on a quest. He has an urgent need to find the secret of unified teams, productive people, and human happiness at work. It's that, or give up on his dreams for his own success.

What to do?

If you work for a living, work with other people, or ever need to inspire and lead those around you, then Charlie's journey for the answer can be your journey too. Join authors John Kolm and Peter Ring, two leading practitioners in this area, on Crocodile Charlie's six-month quest to find some real results.

John Kolm worked in the Australian defence community during the 1980s before moving to a variety of senior leadership roles in industry in the early 1990s. In 1996 he co-founded Team Results with Peter Ring, a highly successful team and leadership business which now operates all over Australia and overseas. John now divides his time between operating team and leadership programs, mentoring junior and senior managers, public speaking, writing for publications and cartooning. In 1990, John received a Rothmans National Grand Prix award for published artwork.

Peter Ring was an RAAF fighter pilot during the 1960s and went on to be an RAAF Academy instructor in management and leadership. In the late 1970s he was seconded to the UN Peacekeeping Force. In 1972 and 1979 respectively he was awarded the Order of Australia and the Air Force Cross for his achievements in teamwork and leadership. As the co-founder of Team Results, he now conducts team and leadership development programs and mentors senior managers in large companies.

Reviews

"A thoughtful CEO of a troubled kitchen-design business visits various companies across Australia to discover the secret of unified teams, productive people, and happiness at work. People have roles and responsibilities in any company, he found, but it's only when leaders speak to the individual within each role that people become energized and fulfilled. Workers in all organizations need freedom to communicate and have fun, and clear statements about what managers value and expect. They also thrive when their contributions are valued and they don't have to worry about being judged or rejected for who they are. Laid-back Australian John Kolm is a sincere, pleasant reader, but this well-written material needs more vocal energy to keep it moving and make it memorable." Expand reviews
