She sighed. "Look, Phil, I am too tired to even begin to imagine anything. Don't you get it?"

He squeezed her hands. "Come on, Jessica. You know why we are here and what I want us to celebrate."

"I know? No. You are wrong there, darling. If I did know, why am I so confused?"

"Confused? You have got to be kidding. How can you be confused inside a posh restaurant like this?"

"Maybe because my husband decided to bring me here without telling me why he was doing so."

He grinned. "Okay. I get it. You want me to tell you, don’t you?"

"Phil. Enough of all these games. Why are we here?"

"To celebrate something really special."

Her eyes darted around restlessly. "Something special? Like what?"

"You mean that you cannot figure it out?"

"My dear, if I could, would I be trying to guess what it is?"

"Okay, I'll give you a hint."

She grabbed his hands and held them together. "Phil, my dear and darling husband, I know you might have the best of intentions by bringing me here this evening. You do, don't you?"

"Sure, my darling Jessica. I did it for you."

"Good. So why not just be plain with me. It wouldn't spoil anything if you were. My day was hectic and, like I said earlier, I am only here because you insisted on us coming. Otherwise, I would have preferred to stay back at home and get some rest."
