Learn moreWhen librarian Cecily Jane Allerton and hotshot struggling author Nate Ellis are caught in a compromising position during their MFA program, they decide to get married to keep the haters from destroying their chances for professional success. To the horror of Cecily’s family, which is a big fan of big white weddings, they elope to City Hall. Now they’re back on Block Island, pretending to be a real married couple, and finding that however fake the relationship may be, the mutual attraction is all too real. With Cecily vying for a literary award, Nate striving to get past his writers block, and plans in place to annul the marriage after the MFA program ends, what could possibly go wrong?
KJ Micciche is a novelist who writes (mostly) romantic comedy. She hails from Queens, New York, where she spent countless hours as a kid curled up under the covers reading The Babysitters Club by flashlight way past her bedtime. Now all grown up, she runs a non-profit organization that teaches kids with dyslexia how to read, and she pens her own stories as well. The proud mom of two little girls, she and her family live on Long Island and summer in Cape Cod.
Kelli Tager is a classically trained actor with a master's degree in Shakespeare studies from the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-Upon-Avon, UK. For many years, she worked in film and theater and taught children's acting, but now she specializes in acting from behind the mic—in commercials, animation, and, of course, audiobooks. She finds audiobook narration to be the perfect marriage between her love of literature and her love of acting.
Nick Mondelli is an accomplished actor, poet, and audiobook narrator from Ohio. He has narrated a wide range of titles, including Willa Cather's My Antonia, Patty Blount's The Way It Hurts, and Paula Garner's Phantom Limbs, which AudioFile Magazine called a sensitive, expressive performance. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he works out of his in-house studio.
