July Tate is a force to be reckoned with—a big, strong blonde with a heart the size of her whole town—but beneath her capable exterior lie the scars of a devastating lost love. To July, love equals vulnerability, and she can’t afford either. Joe Anderson knew from the first moment he saw her that July was The One. Now, after years apart, he’s back, driven by the need to explain his disappearance. In search of the girl who filled his teenage dreams, he finds instead a powerhouse woman who steals his heart and soul. Joe embodies everything July has been missing, and together they spark as brightly as ever. But with Joe around, July, who can usually outwork four men is suddenly making mistakes right and left. And that scares her. Because if July falls again, this time her beloved town could go down with her.

Laura Moher is the author of Curves for Days. Her head is full of stories of flawed people who come together to make each other―and their world―a better place. A former associate professor of sociology at the University of South Carolina Upstate, she has deep roots in the South, having grown up in the Louisville, Kentucky, area before moving to the western Carolinas, where she taught for eleven years. She is now happily settled near her son in Minnesota.

Michelle Price is an audiobook narrator and ex-ghost hunter snuggled between the Appalachian and Allegheny mountains in Roanoke, Virginia. She is valued for her vulnerability and openness surrounding mental health and suicide prevention, having worked in the field for ten years prior to narrating. She channels this vulnerability into her performances to give life to stories through personal experience and deep empathy.

Paul Bellantoni is an experienced voiceover artist and audiobook narrator who has worked on a wide range of projects. Also an award-winning opera singer, he has performed in opera houses across the United States and Europe—including at Carnegie Hall, where he held a solo concert. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
