Marlowe is hired to keep a man from getting killed, he fails miserably. In waddles The Hippo, who always laughs, even with a gun in his hand. Marlowe is shot! Get this and get it straight, crime is a sucker's road and those who travel it wind up in the gutter, the prison or the grave. There’s no other end but they never learn. This time a nervous breakdown and a driving rain, a cape with a high collar and a tiny sliver of glass led me from the ballet and a beautiful dancer to the edge of a cliff and death.

Gene Levitt was an American television writer, director, and producer who wrote for The Adventures of Philip Marlowe throughout the late '40s and early '50s. He is best known for the creation of the television series Fantasy Island.

Robert Mitchell was a writer for several radio programs distributed by major networks such as NBC, CBS, and ABC.

Raymond Chandler (1888-1959) was an American author of detective fiction as well as the creator of the private detective Philip Marlowe.

A diverse cast of individuals worked together to achieve the brilliant sound and performances contained in this audiobook.
