Richard Stark (1933–2008), wrote dozens of novels under his own name and a rainbow of other pseudonyms. Many of his books have been adapted for film, most notably The Hunter, which became the 1967 noir Point Blank and the 1999 smash Payback.
Steve Aveson is a television news veteran and actor with much experience in New England and nationally. He is currently the cohost of The Morning Show on NECN and has worked as an anchor, reporter, and host at WBZ, WFXT, and WCVB in Boston, as well as at WPRI-TV in Rhode Island. Nationally, Aveson worked as an anchor, correspondent, and host at ABC News, ABC’s 20/20, and ABC’s Good Morning America.
