"Science does not need mysticism and mysticism does not need science, but man needs both." —Fritjof Capra, Ph.D.
Their paths to the truth could not be more different—but the amazing thing is that, in their own ways, the mystics and the scientists are discovering the same truths about our world. In non-technical language, with no complex mathematics or formulae, this thought-provoking program explores the main concepts and theories of modern physics, the revelations coming from particle accelerators and laboratories—and compares them with the ancient tenets of Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. In the process, we gain a clear and fascinating picture of how such seemingly disparate areas of thought are ultimately quests for the same kind of understanding.

FRITJOF CAPRA received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna and has written and lectured extensively about the philosophical implications of modern science. He is the author of The Web of Life, The Turning Point and Uncommon Wisdom. Currently a director of the Center for Ecoliteracy in Berkeley, California, he lives in Berkeley with his wife and daughter.

Michael McConnohie has done extensive voice work for countless cartoons, video games, commercials, and audiobooks.  He is the President of the Nevada-based Voxworks voice-acting corporation. He has recorded voices for over 170 English animation shows, including Cowboy Bebop, Digimon, Dragon Ball, and Vampire Hunter. Michael's audiobook credits include narrating Fritjof Capra's The Tao of Physics, Stuart M. Kaminsky's Earphones Award-winning Always Say Goodbye, Noah Boyd's The Bricklayer, and C. David Heyman's Liz: An Intimate Biography of Elizabeth Taylor.
