The snick of a lock. The squeak of door hinges. The creak of a floorboard . . .

Nothing is more mysterious than footsteps in the dark. Are those approaching steps that of friend or enemy? Lover or killer?

Contains mature themes.

LB Gregg is the author of How I Met Your Father, the Men of Smithfield series, and the Bluewater Bay series. When not working from her home in the rolling hills of Northwestern Connecticut, she can be spotted in coffee shops from Berlin to Singapore to Panama-sipping lattes and writing scorchingly hot, often funny, stories about men who love men.

Nicole Kimberling is a novelist and the senior editor at Blind Eye Books. Her first novel, Turnskin, won the Lambda Literary Award. Her other works include the Bellingham Mystery series, set in the Washington town where she resides with her wife of thirty years, and an ongoing cooking column for Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet. She is also the creator and writer of Lauren Proves Magic is Real!, a serial fiction podcast which explores the day-to-day case files of Special Agent Keith Curry, supernatural food inspector.

Josh Lanyon is the award-winning author of over sixty titles of classic male/male fiction featuring twisty mystery, kickass adventure, and unapologetic man-on-man romance. Her books include the Art of Murder series, Seance on a Summer's Night, and Slay Ride. Josh is married and lives in Southern California.

Dal Maclean comes from Scotland. Her background is in journalism, and she has an undying passion for history. Dal has lived in Asia and worked all over the world, but now makes her home in the UK. She dislikes the "tragic gay" trope but loves imperfect characters and genuine emotional conflict in romantic fiction. As an author and a reader, she believes it's worth a bit of work to reach a happy ending. She is the author of Object of Desire and Bitter Legacy.

Z. A. Maxfield started writing in 2007 on a dare from her children and never looked back. Her books include Honky Tonk Hellion, Crossing Borders, and the Plummet to Soar series.

Meg Perry is an academic librarian who enjoys a good mystery. She is the author of the Jamie Brodie Mysteries.

C. S. Poe is a Lambda Literary and two-time EPIC Award finalist, and a FAPA Award-winning author of gay mystery, romance, and paranormal books, including Southernmost Murder and the Snow & Winter series. C. S. has lived in New York City, Key West, and Ibaraki, Japan, to name a few. She's rescued two cats-Milo and Kasper do their best on a daily basis to distract her from work.

S. C. Wynne is the author of several m/m romance novels, including Damaged Heart and Memories Follow. She loves writing m/m, and her characters are usually a little jaded, funny, and ultimately redeemed through love. S. C. won a Lambda Award for her book Crashing Upwards.

Kale Williams lends his voice to bring to life romance books of all stripes. Known for his distinct characterizations and natural intimate storytelling, he is as comfortable with the cowboys on the prairie as he is with the cops of the big city; from the slow burn to the hot steam to the HEA.

Joel Leslie is an award-winning, classically trained narrator specializing in LGBT fiction. A UK transplant with American parents, he delivers authentic British and American narration. An accent specialist, Joel received Narrator of the Year and Audiobook of the Year 2016 awards from Sinfully Gay Romance Book Reviews and is a five-time winner of M/M Audiobook of the Month from Open Skye Book Reviews.
