Summary

Classic comedy from the writers of the Dad's Army radio series

Brothers Jack and Lesley Burrows are as different from each other as they can possibly be. After their mum passes away, there's a surprise at the reading of her will. An unexpected windfall has been left to them, but there's one very big catch: the brothers must commit to living together for three months.

As far as Jack and Lesley are concerned, this is a total disaster. They will do everything they can to avert the crisis and get their hands on their cash legacy.

Two very different worlds collide as the brothers try to navigate their way through the challenge. Things only get harder when Lesley becomes head of redundancy at Jack's work, but can Jack's reputation as a ladies' man help his brother out of a fix? An attempt to share their hobbies doesn't quite go to plan and, in desperation, they consider a high stakes life and death intervention with hilarious consequences. Enjoy this rollercoaster of a comedy that will have you cheering for the hapless duo as they try desperately to make their mother proud, without killing each other in the process.

Penned by writing duo Harold Snoad and Michael Knowles, who wrote the hugely popular radio adaptation of Dad's Army and its spin-off, It Sticks Out Half a Mile, Share and Share Alike stars Hugh Paddick (Round the Horne, Beyond Our Ken, Julian and Sandy) as Lesley and Michael Robbins (How's Your Father, On the Buses) as Jack.

If you liked Dad's Army and Round the Horne then you will love this vintage series, brought to life by a full cast across nine episodes.

This is a vintage BBC programme. Due to the age of this recording, the sound quality may vary.
