Bring history back to life through Jim Hodges’ historically accurate, exciting, and edifying audio recordings.

Circumnavigate the globe with Sir Francis Drake, spread the gospel in Africa with David Livingstone, survive the wilds of Jamestown with Captain John Smith, penetrate the wilderness with Daniel Boone, capture Mexico with Hernán Cortes, fight the British with John Paul Jones, and search for gold with Hernando De Soto. Each chapter sounds like an exciting work of fiction, yet is based on fact. These men lived lives of adventure and it’s fitting that their stories should be told with all the drama of a great story. Men and boys alike will relate to the thrilling experiences portrayed in these pages. Explore history from a Christian worldview through heroes and heroines of the past in the Amy Puetz Collection. Discover little-known stories that show God’s providential hand and invoke a simpler time in history.

Kate Dickinson Sweetser was an American author known in her time for writing juvenile fiction and compilations.

Jim Hodges began reading aloud in the second grade with a stirring rendition of Dick and Jane. He continued to volunteer to speak throughout his schooling years, performed as a newscaster while in the Navy, and participated in community theater groups. His wife, Monica, once asked what his dream job would be. He answered, “I’d record books.” And so began Jim Hodges Audio Books, producing unabridged recordings of the G. A. Henty historical novels, children’s books, Overtly Christian titles, and classic literature.
