Naomi Novik delivers the final adventure in a New York Times bestselling series that has won fans of Napoleonic-era military history, Anne McCaffrey's Pern novels, and Patrick O'Brian's seafaring adventures. Since His Majesty's Dragon, Captain William Laurence and his fearless dragon, Temeraire, have been battling Napoleon and his armies . . . and now the time has come to stop him for good.

Naomi Novik is the acclaimed author of His Majesty's Dragon, Throne of Jade, Black Powder War, Empire of Ivory, and Victory of Eagles, the first five volumes of the Temeraire series, which was recently optioned by Peter Jackson, the Academy Award-winning director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. In 2007, Naomi received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer at the World Science Fiction Convention. A history buff with a particular interest in the Napoleonic era, she studied English literature at Brown University, then did graduate work in computer science at Columbia University before leaving to participate in the design and development of the computer game Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide. Naomi lives in New York City with her husband.

Simon Vance, a former BBC Radio presenter and newsreader, is a full-time actor who has appeared on both stage and television. "The collaboration of Russia with Britain, China, and others in the war and the interaction of the dragons with the French provide the perfect opportunity for Vance to draw on his vast store of accents for both humans and dragons." ---AudioFile Expand reviews
