Learn moreWe arrived at the tower at the top of the castle. The door was locked. 'We can't go into that room,' said Ho Hum. 'Not ever.'
Tashi tells Jack about his scariest adventure ever, when the mysterious stranger Bluebeard moved into the old castle. Nobody knew what a monster he was.
In the second story in this book, 'The Three Tasks', the wicked Baron's prize peacock goes missing and his poor dog Pongo will be killed unless Tashi can complete three impossible tasks. When the going gets this tough, it's all up to Tashi!
This Tashi collection also includes 'Tashi and the Stolen Bus' and 'The Mystrious Thief'.
Anna Fienberg grew up in a house filled with books. Her mother was a teacher librarian who relished stories as much as chocolates. Anna started writing stories when she was eight, but never imagined being an author. She studied psychology, fascinated by the dark world of dreams. She gave up counselling after an unfortunate incident with an enraged man and a chair (he missed!), began writing and became the editor of School Magazine.
Anna and Barbara Fienberg write the Tashi stories together. When Anna was a child, Barbara read bedtime stories to her and they would travel to all the secret places in the world through books. They started making up the Tashi stories when Barbara remembered how, when she was a child, she used to tell stories, creative fibs ... whoppers! And kids would crowd around, dying to hear her latest tale โ and over many cups of tea they cooked up Tashi!
