“There was definitely a lot of lying going on in this book, but I am not sure any of the characters liked or trusted anyone else to really have formed a club. I really didn’t like any of the characters – at first. There were spoiled rich kids who got into the kind of trouble you would expect rich teens to get into – but as you read you may wonder if they are really all bad kids or if it is just one or two of them. Spoiled rich parents who are used to getting their way are another group of unlikeable characters. Then there were Natalie, a young administrative assistant, and Nick, a much beloved and caring soccer coach whose main goal was to help the kids achieve success and get into prestigious schools...Even when I thought I knew what happened I got surprised. Great lessons for teens and parents of teens and the fact that money cannot keep your kids safe – that is a parent's job.”

“I love to make myself read mysteries as audiobooks so that I am not 100% in control of the reading pacing. It keeps me from flying through too fast to get to the end and the answers. There is something delicious about falling into lives of rich people behaving badly. This definitely had a Big Little Lies vibe without being a copycat story. I always appreciate mysteries told from multiple points of view and ones that begin with the murder and then move back in time to walk you through the events and potential motives that led to that moment...I found it to be a satisfying ending with my questions answered and a few minor twists revealed to keep it interesting. Just the distraction I needed right now!”
