Gabriel García Márquez (1927–2014) fue una de las figuras más importantes e influyentes de la literatura universal. Gregory Rabassa (1922–2016) was an American literary translator from Spanish and Portuguese to English. His translations include works by Gabriel García Márquez, Julio Cortázar, and Jorge Franco. He taught for many years at Columbia University and Queens College.
