So begins the diary of fourteen-year-old Jenna Samuels, who is having a very bad eighth-grade year. Her single mother spends all day in bed. Dad vanished when she was eight. Joy Preble is the author of the popular and highly acclaimed Dreaming Anastasia series. A former English teacher, Joy grew up in Chicago and is a graduate of Northwestern University. Madeleine Lambert is an Earphones Award winning narrator who graduated with honors from Duke University with majors in theater studies and English and who received her MFA in acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
