A party launching the art tour of an old friend and the opening of her husband’s condominiums turns tragic when the sculptures are vandalized and one of the guests, a highly regarded art-magazine editor, is found strangled in one of the new condos. Charlie and Constance interview some of the guests and learn there has already been another death at the condo site, viewed at the time as an accident. Connecting the two deaths leads the two sleuths to an unexpected suspect.
Kate Wilhelm (1928–2018) was the bestselling author of dozens of novels and short-story collections. Among her novels are the popular courtroom thrillers featuring attorney Barbara Holloway. Her other works include the science fiction classic Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang.
Bernadette Dunne is the winner of more than a dozen AudioFile Earphones Awards and has twice been nominated for the prestigious Audie Award. She studied at the Royal National Theatre in London and the Studio Theater in Washington, DC, and has appeared at the Kennedy Center and off Broadway.
