Dolf Morgette, legendary gunfighter and lawman of the Old West, is in Alaska when he first hears about a series of mysterious bombings in Pinebluff, Idaho. At first, it sounds like the bombings are being directed at mine owners, probably by disgruntled miners who are unhappy about recent cuts in wages. But when the danger threatens his family, Dolf must take matters into his own hands. Events turn perilous enough that he even appeals to his father-in-law, Chief Henry. If he can’t find a way to straighten things out fast, Dolf might get blown sky-high.

Glenn G. Boyer, born in Wisconsin, survived a twenty-two-year flying career following World War II, and retired in 1965 as a lieutenant colonel and command pilot. He immersed himself in researching and writing about frontier people and events. A lifelong friend of the family of Wyatt Earp, he wrote Suppressed Murder of Wyatt Earp at the Earp family’s request, in order to set the record straight. The book spurred interest in the Wyatt Earp legend and revived the town of Tombstone, Arizona. He also wrote I Married Wyatt Earp: The Recollections of Josephine Sarah Marcus Earp and Wyatt Earp's Tombstone Vendetta.

Raymond Todd is an actor and director in the theater as well as a poet and documentary filmmaker. He plays jazz trombone for the Leatherstocking quartet, an ensemble that gets its name from one of his favorite Blackstone narrations, The Deerslayer. Todd lives in New York.

Reviews

“A story-telling talent reminiscent of such masters of the Old West as Zane Grey, Max Brand, and Louis L’Amour.”
