The News Quiz, ‘the finest topical comedy panel game known to radio’, has been providing headlines and punchlines since it first aired in 1977. Chaired by Sandi Toksvig, this is Series 76 of the show which takes a satirical look at the week's news. These eight episodes from 2011 and 2012 include a festive programme and a special panto programme, Oh No It Isn't, co-written by John Finnemore. Panellists include Alexei Sayle, Susan Calman, Miles Jupp, Jeremy Hardy, Tom Allen, Fred MacAulay, Sue Perkins, Bob Mills, Rebecca Front, Hugo Rifkind, Steve Punt, Roisin Conaty, Mark Steel, Phill Jupitus and Rick Wakeman. Supplying the cuttings and clippings are newsreaders Peter Donaldson, Harriet Cass, Corrie Corfield, Carolyn Brown, Neil Sleat and Rory Morrison.

John Llloyd is a well known comedy writer and producer, with credits including The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Not the Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder, Spitting Image and QI. He has also co-authored twenty books.

Following a first-class degree from Cambridge, Sandi Toksvig went into the theatre, where she both wrote and performed before becoming one of the founder members of the Comedy Store Players. She is well known for her television and radio work, as a presenter, writer and actor.
