Eve Chase skilfully weaves together two time periods, evoking London and Paris and the world of antiques with such a depth of detail that I felt I was walking the streets alongside the characters. As the tension builds and the secrets they’ve been hiding start to come to light, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough and felt every bit of Maggie and Kit’s peril. A summer must-read.
