Fifty years after the Sharon Tate/LaBianca murders, a new and terrifying investigation into the modern rebirth of Charles Manson’s killer family

Perhaps the most notorious American murderer of the twentieth century, Charles Manson’s legacy extends far beyond his horrific crimes. As the wild-eyed, swastika-tattooed, nightmarishly charismatic leader of the Manson Family, he was convicted of the brutal killings of nine people in 1971—including the Tate–LaBianca murders of seven in Los Angeles over two hot August nights in 1969.

He spent the rest of his life in prison, and for the next fifty years preached his twisted philosophies from jail, attracting a whole new batch of freaks to his way of thinking.

In The Last Charles Manson Tapes, authors Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett examine the Manson legacy. With brand new interviews with those closest to him, including Manson’s heirs, friends and followers, experts and historians, and hours of exclusive transcripts of Manson’s own manic preachings from his prison cell, you’ll get to view a side of this serial killer few have ever seen.

Manson’s passing in 2017 has sparked into action a new generation of killer disciples, obsessed with the evil slaying spree he ordered and determined to carry on his “Helter Skelter” vision of an apocalyptic war. With the author’s on-the-ground investigation, learn how the man once described as “the most dangerous man in America” may yet live up to that name.

Dylan Howard is an investigative reporter who has edited numerous magazines, including Us Weekly, the National Enquirer, Star, In Touch, Life & Style, and many others. Described by the New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin as “the king of Hollywood scoops,” Howard has uncovered gripping scandals, solved true crime cases, exposed financial crimes and even murder, bringing these egregious crimes to light through his award-winning reporting. Named Entertainment Journalist of the Year at the National Entertainment Journalism Awards, he continues to uncover Hollywood’s darkest secrets and remains a fearless reporter with a determination to access the facts. Howard currently resides in New York City. Howard is also the author of Diana: Case Solved and Aaron Hernandez’s Killing Fields.

Andy Tillett has hunted down scoops from the front lines of Hollywood to the slums of India for news outlets in Europe, the US, and Australia. He’s been threatened with guns, run out of towns and overcome car crashes, cults and creeps to expose hypocritical celebrities, rotten politicians and drug dealers. He spent five years working his way into Charles Manson’s inner circle to research this book.

David Linski (a.k.a. David Ligudzinski and David Atlas) is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia. He has numerous voice-over credits, an extensive theatrical résumé, and has starred in short and feature films both in the United States and Australia.

Kristoffer Tabori made his screen debut when he was six years old and appeared on Broadway for the first time at age sixteen. He has garnered numerous honors for his stage, screen, television, and radio acting and directing, including an Emmy and three Earphones Awards. His first solo narration won the 1993 Audie Award for best audiobook of the year.

Stefan Rudnicki is a Grammy-winning audiobook producer and an award-winning narrator who has won several Audie Awards, as well as more than twenty-five Earphones Awards, and been named one of AudioFile’s Golden Voices.
