How do you save a sinking ship?

When Dr. Jason K. Allen arrived on the campus of Midwestern Seminary, it was in rough shape. The faculty, the facilities, and the reputation of the school were all flailing. How did he lead this seminary to become the fastest growing and one of the largest seminaries in the world?

In this book, Dr. Allen shares the leadership principles he learned through the turnaround of Midwestern Seminaryโ€”principles youโ€™ll be able to apply in whatever area God has called you to lead.

Jason K. Allenย is the fifth president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. Since coming to Midwestern, he has led the institution to become one of the largest and fastest growing seminaries in North America. In addition to his role as president, Dr. Allen serves as an associate professor for preaching and pastoral ministry. More broadly, he serves the church through his preaching and writing ministries. He is the author or editor of several books, includingย Being a Christian, Letters to My Students, vol. 1โ€“2,ย andย Succeeding at Seminary.ย Dr. Allen regularly posts essays on his website, jasonkallen.com, and hosts a weekly podcast, โ€œPreaching and Preachers.โ€ He and his wife, Karen, are both from Mobile, Ala., and have five children: Anne-Marie, Caroline, William, Alden, and Elizabeth.
