Marguerite de Angeliย was an American writer and illustrator of childrenโs books, born in Michigan in 1889. An author and illustrator of 28 books, she won the 1950 Newbery Award for her bookย The Door in the Wall. In addition to her own writing, she illustrated more than three dozen books for other authors. She died in 1987.
Roger Reesย was a Welsh actor. He was a recipient of Olivier and Tony Awards for his starring role inย The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, as well as Obie Awards forย The End of the Dayย and as codirector ofย Peter and the Starcatcher. He was posthumously inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2015.
