“I adore every second of this story. It felt like Guardians of the Galaxy meets Golden Girls with a dash of Miss Marple. Every member of The Thursday Murder Club brings a different element to the team. Their loyalty to each other never wavers. Reading about their growth and enjoyment of living in the moment was a reminder to not take friendship or the unique opportunities for granted. ”

“What's better than Miss Marple? Two Miss Marples with a couple of bonus Mr. Marples. The Thursday Murder Club series is the perfect escapist read for lovers of old school British mysteries. Delightfully charming, and laugh-out-loud funny, the whole series is definitely a binge-listen waiting to happen. I can't imagine a better way to spend a vacation or holiday season. ”

“Richard Osman is a relative newcomer to the mystery scene. The Thursday Murder Club begins the adventures of a group of retirees who meet every Thursday to discuss unsolved crimes. Of course, they end up solving them. So far there are only three books in this series, so you can get in on the ground floor. I can't wait for the next installment.”

“[A] jaunty mystery. . . What's delightful is that there are no stereotypes here — the senior citizens solve the murder with wit, style and ferocious intelligence. The puzzle is intricate and involving, but there's a breeziness about it that makes it an ideal hammock read.”

—Shari Lapena, New York Times bestselling author of The Couple Next Door
“Loved every word. Loved the fleet, nimble plotting, as ingenious as top-shelf Agatha Christie; loved the boisterous cast of characters—think Fredrik Backman; loved the crisp, witty, Carl Hiaasen-caliber dialogue... yet above all, I love The Thursday Murder Club for its psychological texture, emotional depth, and luminous, fireside warmth. What a generous novel. Readers of Louise Penny and Kate Atkinson, rejoice."
—A. J. Finn, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Woman in the Window
“It may seem oxymoronic to call a mystery thriller heartwarming, but this one—along with its follow-ups in Osman’s bestselling series—surely fits the bill. While there’s certainly a complex and twisty puzzle at its core, the real draw of the story comes from its hilariously quirky cast of characters, a squadron of senior citizens who take up digging into cold cases as a casual hobby at their retirement community, and all too often find themselves facing down fresher murder cases in the process.”
—Marie Claire
