“I don't always pick up thrillers, but this novel featuring a main character with dissociative identity disorder (DID) intrigued me. The plot follows Ken (Kenetria) and her headmates, as they're called, as she accepts a job at a spooky castle as care taker. The rules are simple and the benefits are great; she just has to stay in the castle for 24 hours before she can accept the job. Needless to say things are not what they seem. The perspective jumps back and forth between the headmates as they face turmoil in the exterior world and their inner world. This was a really interesting take on the struggles of someone with DID and the lasting effects of trauma. ”
