“A Russian night witch and a British war correspondent turned Nazi hunter join forces to track a ruthless assassin in The Huntress, the latest book by Kate Quinn. From the pre-war wilds of the Soviet Union to the streets of a war-torn Germany to the bustle of Boston, Quinn masterfully mixes the past with a post-war present, and it’s phenomenal. Fans of The Alice Network and The Nightingale will love this fantastically fast-paced and utterly exhilarating historical fiction.”

“I needed a super engrossing audiobook and having had such a good experience with both The Rose Code and The Alice Network, I knew The Huntress narrated by the wonderful Saskia Maarleveld would do the trick. If you are a fan of historical fiction with strong female characters then you have to check out Kate Quinn (if you haven't already). Her books are always super solid both with plot and character development and for me, with audiobook production. Maarleveld wonderfully covers most accents, adding depth to all narrators and characters. In The Huntress, we have a few unique points that stood out to me: 1. part of the storyline is set in Boston which is unique for a WWII story! 2. We not only have strong female characters but three badass ones (though one is a Nazi... she's badass but scary!) and 3. There was less of a twist and more of a ""how do things unfold"" feel which I enjoy If you want surefire entertainment and like a good WWII story, then I highly recommend you pick up any of Quinn's The Huntress! And if you want to fill a car ride with an engrossing listen, then this audiobook is perfect.”

“Nina is a teenaged girl in Siberia who runs away from her abusive father and ends up being one of the night witches in an all-woman bomber squadron in the Russian air force. Ian is a battle worn world renowned journalist who has put up his pen in order to hunt Nazi war criminals, especially The Huntress who murdered his young brother. Jordan is a teenager in Boston in 1950 who has fallen in love with photography and one day hopes to travel the world as a photo journalist. Nina, Ian and Jordan, who you will get to know intimately, are the heart of one of the best novels of historical fiction I have read in years. Their very individual voices were enhanced by listening to the audio version. From Russia and the little known story of one of the most successful bombing squadrons, to post war Boston where no one wants to be reminded of the war, you will be mesmerized by the stories of how the war and its aftermath affected those in it and around it. Quinn weaves their stories intricately together as they all end up in Boston on the trail of The Huntress. It is a thriller, a piece of history and a love story all combined into one book that you don’t want to miss.”

From the author of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel, THE ALICE NETWORK, comes another fascinating historical novel about a battle-haunted English journalist and a Russian female bomber pilot who join forces to track the Huntress, a Nazi war criminal gone to ground in America.
In the aftermath of war, the hunter becomes the hunted…
Bold and fearless, Nina Markova always dreamed of flying. When the Nazis attack the Soviet Union, she risks everything to join the legendary Night Witches, an all-female night bomber regiment wreaking havoc on the invading Germans. When she is stranded behind enemy lines, Nina becomes the prey of a lethal Nazi murderess known as the Huntress, and only Nina’s bravery and cunning will keep her alive.
Transformed by the horrors he witnessed from Omaha Beach to the Nuremberg Trials, British war correspondent Ian Graham has become a Nazi hunter. Yet one target eludes him: a vicious predator known as the Huntress. To find her, the fierce, disciplined investigator joins forces with the only witness to escape the Huntress alive: the brazen, cocksure Nina. But a shared secret could derail their mission unless Ian and Nina force themselves to confront it.
Growing up in post-war Boston, seventeen-year-old Jordan McBride is determined to become a photographer. When her long-widowed father unexpectedly comes homes with a new fiancée, Jordan is thrilled. But there is something disconcerting about the soft-spoken German widow. Certain that danger is lurking, Jordan begins to delve into her new stepmother’s past—only to discover that there are mysteries buried deep in her family . . . secrets that may threaten all Jordan holds dear.
In this immersive, heart-wrenching story, Kate Quinn illuminates the consequences of war on individual lives, and the price we pay to seek justice and truth.
