Anna Wilson began her career as a picture book editor at Macmillan Childrenโs Books, but quickly turned her attention to writing her own books and has published over 50 titles. Her childrenโs series, Vlad the Worldโs Worst Vampire has been translated into thirteen languages. Her picture book Grandpa and the Kingfisher was shortlisted for the Wainwright Nature Prize in 2023. As well as writing for young people, Anna has also published a memoir: A Place for Everything โ my mother, autism and me, published by HarperCollins. It has been reviewed as โa seminal work in this areaโ by the world expert in autism in women, Professor Tony Attwood. Her latest non-fiction book for children is A Story of the Seasons, published by Nosy Crow and the National Trust in 2024. As well as writing, Anna has extensive experience in teaching creative writing. She was an Associate Lecturer at Bath Spa University and is now a Royal Literary Fund Fellow.
