Es kommt darauf an, jenseits einer Absolutsetzung entweder biologischer Erklärungen (Biologismus) oder kultureller Erklärungen (Kulturalismus), die sich auf das Leben und die Gesetze, unter die das Leben tritt, beziehen, wieder eine wissenschaftlich informierte und philosophisch reflektierte Position einzunehmen. Der Mensch soll nicht auf das reduziert werden, was er als (pure) Natur ist oder als (absoluter) Geist sein will. Philosophische Anthropologie und Ethik finden hier ihre modernen Aufgaben.
