Latine/Latinx Heritage Month

September 15 to October 15 is National Latine/Latinx Heritage Month -- a month celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. This Latine/Latinx Heritage Month, we recognize the valuable contributions and accomplishments of the Latino community and invite you to learn more about the culture and history of Hispanic-Americans by speaking with neighbors, classmates, or colleagues, attending an upcoming event, or (our favorite way of all) through books! Books are a terrific way to celebrate and reflect on who we are, where we come from, and where we’re going. They’re also extremely valuable in helping us to gain greater insight into cultures different from our own. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ve pulled together a list of great reads that celebrate Latinx heritage, culture, and identity.
